Informer Index Program and Database

SAS/O Index Database Viewer Program

This program runs on Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and allows you to browse and search for specific articles from the SAS/O journal The Informer by author, period, area, and title. To install:

  1. Download the self-extracting EXE file by clicking here. Save the program to your Desktop. This file is 5.6 Mbytes in size.
  2. Double-click on the program. It will extract files to your TEMP directory and prompt you to start the installation.
  3. Choose where you want to install the program and allow the installer to run to completion. You can always uninstall the program later.
  4. Download the database (a ZIP file) by clicking here into the SAME FOLDER you installed the program to. This file is 440 Kbytes in size.
  5. Double-click on the database ZIP file to create the SAS097-be.mdb database.
  6. You can now run the SAS Index program by going to your Start menu, selecting SAS Index, and clicking on the icon.
  7. To recover disk space, you can delete the EXE you downloaded in step 1 (the one on your desktop), and the ZIP file that contained the database.
