Tonga/Tin Can Mail Study Circle Library

This special collection consists of books, pamphlets, auction catalogs, government publications, and an extensive clippings file, as well as video, slides and other electronic media.  This library was formed by the Tonga/Tin Can Mail Study Circle over a period of 20 years and contains virtually all there is to know about Tonga and Tin Can Mail.  We are very proud to have this collection at the Western Philatelic Library.  Access the T/TCMSC Collection Index.

Society of Australasian Specialists/Oceania William H. Buckley Library

This special collection of books, journals, catalogs, and pamphlets represents the most extensive library of works on Australia, New Zealand and Oceania outside of Australia.  This library contains over 600 works and 42 sets of journals, including many old and rare Australian philatelic journals from the late 19th century.  Access the index of the SAS/O journal, The Informer  [Available Now] and the SAS/O Library Index [Under Construction].

Access to the web sites of the SAS/O and the Tonga/Tin Can Mail Study Circle.

Tannu Tuva Collectors Society Library

This special collection comprises books, articles, maps, and pamphlets about the people, stamps and postal history of remote and fascinating Tannu Tuva (or simply Tuva, as it is known now).  The collection includes works in English, Chinese and Tuvan.  For more information, access the Tannu Tuva Collection Index.

The Western Philatelic Library separately houses, conserves and administers these libraries for the benefit of the organizations named.  If your organization is running out of space and/or volunteers to manage your society's library, contact us for a proposal.  There is a small initial charge to cover our conservation costs, but the adminstration of the library is done at no additional cost to the Society.

Donations of private libraries are also encouraged.  Special bookplates are printed and affixed to each volume so that the donor's gift is recognized for as long as the volume exists.  Donations to our bindery fund are honored in the same manner.  Call, write or email the library to arrange.
